Sea of Solitude

Sea of Solitude, a single-player, narrative game, has been revealed during EA’s E3 presentation.

Developer Jo-Mei Games has announced its partnership with EA to bring Sea of Solitude to life in early 2019 as an EA Original.

Jo-Mei CEO Cornelia Geppert took the stage today, stating the game takes place in a fantastical world focused around solitude and loneliness.

The description on the game’s trailer page reads:

“When humans get too lonely, they turn into monsters. That’s what happened to Kay. But she’s not alone – this ocean is full of creatures just like her. Finding them may be the key to changing her back.”

Sea of Solitude seems to follow Limbo and Inside-esque storytelling and follows its female protagonist, Kay, through the darkest parts of her life. Geppert went on to describe how she wrote the game when she was “loneliest” in order to tell a story that, despite its seemingly unrealistic setting, she feels is entirely true.
