Mojang will have a tough time following the critically acclaimed sandbox game Minecraft, however the company are following a similar business model with their latest game, Scrolls, with an open beta announced for release on June 3rd. The company also announced that the PC exclusive will cost you £13, €15 or $20 depending on your location.
We were also treated to a lovely official launch trailer for the collectible card game which can be found below. It is important to note that Markus “Notch” Persson, the man who created the initial concept and released the original version of Minecraft, has not been involved in the development of Scrolls although he is said to be working on another game called 0x10c – catchy name I know.
Are you excited about Scroll? Worried about the amount of internet fanboys that won’t be happy that this isn’t Minecraft 2? Or simply indifferent? We want to know in the comments section below.
