Resident Evil 3

A number of online reports suggest that Capcom is working on a Resident Evil 3 remake.

The initial rumor came from a YouTube video from Spawn Wave. The video claims that the latest remake will release at some point in 2020. Eurogamer followed up the news, stating the outlet had multiple sources who had confirmed the game is in development.

The third installment in the horror series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis originally launched in 1991. Unlike the previous two games, the third featured a bigger focus on action-heavy gameplay. A digital version of the title last released on the PlayStation Network in 2008.

A remake of Resident Evil 2 launched in January 2019 and was well received by fans.
