Something might be cooking over at Valve. Sadly, it’s probably not Half-life 3, but it might be something just as interesting.
Chris Prynoski of Titmouse Studios, who has worked on several animated TV shows in the past including Afro Samurai and Megas XLR, has started tweeting his mouth off about something brewing between him and Valve. Hashtags include #Valve, #MegasXLR and #MotorCity.
It gets better. Chris posted the following photo to his Twitter feed, wherein he provides proof that he’s been meeting with Gabe Newell, Valve’s manager.
What does this mean? It means that Valve could very well be collaborating with Chris and working on a Megas XLR game.
For those unfamiliar with the show, it ran on Cartoon Network back in 2004-2005. An animated action/comedy series, it centered on a warrior, Kiva, and her robot, MEGAS, who were from the future and were sent back in time to prevent an alien race called the Glorft from wiping out humanity. Going back too far, MEGAS finds himself in 2004, and before Kiva can find him, he’s remodeled into a quasi-Hot-Rod by a mechanic named Coop and his friend Jamie, who give him the subtitle XLR (Xtra Large). From there, the expected hijinks occur. Although it had a short run, it’s become a cut classic in recent years.
This seems like a strange fit for Valve, but it’s not impossible that they’d be working on such a title. Stay tuned for more news/updates on this potential project.
