Like a witch stirring her cauldron, Bethesda appear to be once again cooking up something ambitious. If these recent rumors hold true, then it’s probably another DLC expansion for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this time focusing on the iconic Redguards.
The folks at Official Xbox Magazine UK have done some digging and found that Zenimax, the firm who owns Bethesda, has trademarked Redguard all the way back in March 2011 under the category “downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices.”
They’ve been repeatedly renewing this trademark since then, with the most recent renewal occurring in August 2012. It’ll expire in February of this year unless they renew it again, which is likely.
If this is the next, perhaps final, DLC for Skyrim, then it makes sense. The Redguards live in Hammerfell, which happens to border Skyrim and would therefore make for an easy map extension.
However, some are saying that this could potentially be a plan for a next-gen Elder Scrolls title on PS4 and Xbox 720. Take that as you will.
If an entire Elder Scrolls installment based on the Redguards sounds a wee bit familiar, it’s because it kind of already happened. 1998 saw the release of the spinoff The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard for PC, a third-person action/adventure game that received mixed reviews but has become somewhat of a cult classic.
Stay tuned for more news and rumors regarding this next potential DLC.
I am always up for more Skyrim. Bring it on! I would even play quests as a chicken if they built a Chicken Perk Tree.
Sir, submit a resume to Bethesda now. You need to be on their ideas committee.
Done! It's in their inbox. LOL
Chicken Feather armor, exploding eggs, rooster fighting spurs, poisoned feather quills…. It's going to be great! LOL

My character’s a Redguard, so that would be awesome.
