Major games retailer GameStop is offering big bonuses to its customers to upgrade their current gen console games to next-gen. A short list of games has been revealed (Call of Duty: Ghosts, Madden NFL 25, FIFA ’14, Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag) that will offer $50 store credit when the current generation of these games are traded in towards the next-gen versions. Usually, new releases receive around $35 for trade in for new titles.

However, there are some terms and conditions. First, the current-generation game must be bought within 30 days of the initial launch. Secondly, you must be a Power-Up Rewards member to be eligible for the $50 coupon. And finally, the coupon expires on December 31.

Stickskills says multiple sources have confirmed the news to them, but there’s been no official word from GameStop just yet. As soon as we have a confirmation on this we will update the post.
