There were three Resident Evil titles released last year, and although two of them were big-budget releases on home consoles, most fans have agreed that the best one was Resident Evil: Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS. Capcom seems to have noticed this as well, since they’re now working to bring Revelations to a wider audience.
On May 21 in North America and May 24 in Europe, a remastered HD version of Resident Evil: Revelations will be coming to PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. It’ll release in both boxed retail form as well digitally, for the price of $49.99 usd.
In addition to the HD remastering, there are a few other additions to (flimsily) justify the price tag. Series favorite ‘Hunk’ will be a playable character in Raid mode, and the mode itself will now be playable through online co-op. There’s also a brand new enemy, a few new weapons, a new harder difficulty setting, and some extra weapon components. Rock on.
A few screenshots have also been released on Capcom’s blog, showcasing the game’s HD facelift. Check them out below and let us know what you think.
