According to an industry insider a new Resident Evil game may currently be in development. The unnamed Resident Evil sequel will apparently be going back to its horror roots and is being considered a “clean slate.” These rumours come from Katan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto, who has been a trusted insider in the industry for some years.

“About Resident Evil 7: Yes, it’s in development. The entire game will go back to RE’s horror roots and (essentially) be a clean slate,” says Toto, in a recent post on his Twitter account.

In a second post, Toto makes the rumour even more interesting by stating that the game will be presented at this year’s E3 and that the project has picked up a new game designer. According to Toto, the new team member is Jordan Amaro, a designer who previously worked with Kojima Productions on Metal Gear Solid 4 and PT.

Hopefully, we will learn more details about the rumoured Resident Evil sequel in the weeks leading up to E3. Make sure to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter for all future updates and gives us your thoughts in the comments.
