Capcom held a Resident Evil 6 panel at last week’s San Diego Comic Con and has released a trio of new trailers featuring gameplay footage from the event.  The three videos are from separate character-specific campaigns and highlight the combat, enemies, and environments, as well as the crossover storylines.

The first video features Leon and Helena as they attempt to escape Tall Oaks.  There are actually some pretty creepy scenes here as the zombies shamble along the subway tunnels.  Of course, we can’t escape the action-focused gameplay as Leon performs rolls and various other evasive maneuvers, as well as a few quick-time events.

The second piece of footage shows Jake and Sherry as they team up with Leon and Helena in one of the game’s crossover moments.  Watch as they try and try again to hit the Ustanak boss as he manhandles the group.  Perhaps he’s too small of a target.

Finally, we get a look at Chris as he and his squad attempt to clear a building of some sort of large snake-like creature.  For those concerned about the game’s new action-centric direction, the squad-based shooter look to the gameplay here might make your head explode.

Resident Evil 6 will be available on October 2nd for XBox 360 and PS3 with a PC version to follow at a later date.  Stay tuned to OnlySP for more Resident Evil 6 news and make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for up-to-the-minute information.

I'm a new dad, gaming machine, and beard aficionado. With a little one in the house, I've come to embrace the single-player experience, as it is much less likely to send me into a profanity-laced, controller-throwing tantrum. Writing and video games are two of my greatest passions, so this is a natural fit for me. As long as it doesn't require me to perform coordinated dance moves in front of my Kinect, i'm willing to pen my thoughts on it. Aside from gaming, I love music (Smashing Pumpkins), coffee (Red-Eye), and sushi (Yellowtail). All offerings of my aforementioned favorites will be accepted with open arms and, if you're lucky, i'll let you touch my beard. Just don't pull on it. That hurts.
