Last month, we reported that Crytek, the developer behind Ryse: Son of Rome, was facing bankruptcy (which they then denied) and had put the Ryse 2 sequel on hold. Now, sources are telling Kotaku that many of Crytek’s UK employees have stopped showing up to work after turning in grievance letters.

Crytek UK is currently developing Homefront: The Revolution, an open world FPS that is serving as a sequel to the original Homefront. According to Kotaku’s sources, Deep Silver, the publisher for Homefront: The Revolution, is now discussing the future of the game with Crytek UK. These discussions may include Deep Silver buying the studio and finishing the game.

Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon, but for now be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with Crytek’s financial situation and all your single player gaming news.
