Third-person survival-horror game Remothered: Tormented Fathers has been submitted to Steam Greenlight in an effort to deliver the title to PC.

A new trailer, along with screens from Remothered, have been released as part of the Greenlight submission, giving players a sense of the design mechanics and an indicative look at what might resemble the final game. Planned for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4, Italian developers Darril Arts and Stormind Games hope that Steam’s Greenlight process will catapult the game into the hands of PC players also.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers is close to the final development stage, and receiving the approval from the community will allow the title to appear on the largest digital distribution platform for PC gaming.

Described by the developers as “an authentic and  interactive psychological horror game with strong cinematic inspiration and extreme gameplay,” Remothered contributes further to the recent wave of graphic, housebound horror titles such as Resident Evil VII, the cancelled Silent Hills and its P.T. demo, and in-development titles such as Allison Road.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers focuses on the bizarre disappearance of a young woman under obscure circumstances, and the twisted and hidden depths her family have sunk to in the intervening years. Gameplay balances hide-and-seek combos with stealth strategies and confronting player-enemy interaction. The game’s HUD elements are limited, and players will have to assess their situation via the character’s body language, audio and visual cues.
