Rockstar Games has announced details regarding the pre-order bonuses and special editions for Red Dead Redemption 2.

In a post on the Rockstar Newswire, the developer revealed that all pre-orders of the game will include two Story Mode enhancements: the War Horse, a stronger and faster steed, and the Outlaw Survival Kit, containing items to replenish health and Dead Eye. All digital pre-orders via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store will include a cash bonus for the Story Mode and a bonus GTA$500,000 for Grand Theft Auto Online, while pre-orders placed before 31 July 2018 will receive an in-game Treasure Map.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Special and Ultimate Edition

Rockstar also revealed two different editions for the game: the Special Edition and Ultimate Edition. The Special Edition features exclusive Story Mode content, including a Bank Robbery Mission, gameplay bonuses, and additional weapons, horses, and outfits. The Ultimate Edition features the same pack-ins, alongside some online content: bonus outfits and horses, as well as rank bonuses and free weapons; physical copies come with a Steelbook of the game. The digital versions of these editions will also include additional in-game money for Grand Theft Auto Online: $1 million for the Special Edition, and $2 million for the Ultimate Edition.

Rockstar also revealed the Collector’s Box, which comes with several physical items: a metal box with lock and key, treasure map, collectible coin, playing cards, bandana, pin set, cigarette cards, double-sided puzzle, and physical copy of an in-game catalogue book. The Collector’s Box, aimed at those desiring physical items, does not include a copy of the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on 26 October 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
