Insomniac Games have released a second gameplay demo for Ratchet & Clank. This video, “Gaspar” shows off some of the classic mechanics that we know from the series, including the grapple-beam and rail sliding. The level demonstrated here appears to be later on in the experience, as Ratchet’s arsenal is much more filled out. The demo takes the time to use each weapon for a little bit.
During the course of the gameplay, Ratchet & Clank take on a quest to retrieve brains which nets them a jetpack. When the game takes to the skies you can really see how big these levels, often planets, really are. Past Ratchet and Clank games have really pushed for exploration to provide bonuses for players, and the scope of this world appears to certainly allow for that.
Check out the gameplay from “Gaspar” below.
Ratchet and Clank is currently scheduled to release on the Playstation 4 June 30, 2016, following the release of the Ratchet and Clank film in theaters during late April. The game is listed at $39.99.
