In a heartfelt blog post released earlier today TJ Fixman, a hugely influential writer at Insomniac Games, announced that he would be leaving the studio. He has worked on 9 separate games in his 7 year long career at Insomniac, including the likes of Resistance 2, FUSE as well as a multitude of games in the Ratchet and Clank series. He was already working on four projects in total before receiving an offer from Disney which he couldn’t refuse. He realized that he had too much on his plate already, and was forced to make the decision to leave Insomniac.

It is truly sad to see such an experienced writer leaving the games industry, but as a slight consolation he also revealed that he would still be working on the upcoming Ratchet and Clank movie. We wish him luck in his future endeavors, and hope that he will someday return to the games industry.
