We haven’t heard much about Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault since its reveal last month, but the Playstation Blog is finally sharing some new details about the game with us today.

Full Frontal Assault will be returning to the classic formula that Ratchet and Clank fans know and love. Meaning, the camera will be back to its normal third person perspective and you can expect a whole new arsenal of the crazy weapons the series is known for. One new element that is being added into this iteration of the series though is Tower Defense. You’re probably thinking that it’s going to be another horrible gameplay segment like we saw in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. But there is no need to worry. It actually sounds like it will be a pretty cool new addition to the game as you have to build up your base and defend it using Ratchet’s arsenal.

A new nemesis will be entering the fray in Full Frontal Assault and over the course of three planets and five levels you will fight the alien army he commands. This can be done alone, as you can choose to play between Quark, Ratchet and Clank, or you can play the game online with a co-op partner. Keep in mind that this is only a PSN game, not a full fledged Ratchet and Clank sequel.

OnlySP we’ll continue to follow Full Frontal Assault so make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest info. Checkout the first screenshots of the game just below.
