Not sure how we missed this one, but from the look of the video view-count, we’re not the only ones. Insomniac Games released this gameplay demo on Friday the 12th, prior to E3 2015. The demo shows off early gameplay from this re-imagining of the original 2002 Playstation 2 Ratchet and Clank game in a style that takes the visual-cues from 2007’s Tools of Destruction and really brings them into the current generation. From everything that Insomniac has been saying, they really want to match the visual fidelity of the upcoming Ratchet and Clank film. This gameplay demo goes a long way towards meeting that mark.

Everything you expect from the franchise is showcased: fluid 3D-platforming mechanics, fast-paced combat with a variety of weapons that switch on the fly, simple puzzles, high-quality and amusing voice acting, arena-based bosses and cinematic cut-scenes that match some of the best an animations in both gaming and film. The footage is provided by Insomniac in 1080p at 60fps.

In the second half of the video, when taking on the Blargian Snagglebeast, you can see a wider variety of Ratchet’s arsenal, including the very cool Pixelator. Check out the trailer and some screenshots from it below:
