Everwild

Rare’s studio head Craig Duncan has shared some insight on the origins of the studio’s recently announced game, Everwild.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Duncan spoke about how the new IP came into existence.

“Rare is a very special studio. And for us it’s about finding the heart of what our special games are. I think Rare makes the kind of games the world doesn’t have.”

The key point that Duncan stressed was the passion that members of the studio have for its projects.

The key for Rare is that the studio has always managed to “[put] a set of passionate people together making something they truly love and believe in….That’s why Everwild will be the game it will be, because we have a team of people who are truly passionate about the thing they’re creating.”

Whilst little is known about Everwild, Duncan did tease that the origin story of the inception of the game will come “at a later date.”
