One of Ubisoft’s biggest games was surprisingly missing during the Ubisoft E3 Press Conference, Rainbow 6 Patriots.  IGN got to sit down with Tony Key, Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing to ask him where the heck Rainbow 6 Patriots is at and why it was missing from their press conference. This is what Key had to say about the subject.

“Let’s just say that Rainbow 6 is still in active development but what we decided was that the best thing for the brand was to not bring it to the show right now,” Key said. “We have a lot of other games that we want to focus people on and there will be more information on Rainbow coming.”

We got a prototype demo video earlier this year as well as a reveal trailer. Problems with the development of the game also came about this year, leading many to question whether the game had been cancelled or not. Having not been shown at E3 made me worry even more. It’s good to know the game hasn’t been canned. There is not set release date, but the game is expected sometime in 2013.
