Pyschonauts 2

Psychonauts had a voracious fan base, and they are no doubt excited for the sequel. And now, after reaching the game’s $3.3 million goal, Psychonauts 2 will officially become a reality.

Pyschonauts 2 has been sitting on the crowd funding site Fig and has five days remaining at the time of writing. The project lays out all of its aims and gives detailed descriptions on everything an interested fan would want to know.

The game has a whopping 17 tiers of rewards ranging from $30 for access to the game on release, as well as a copy of Pyschonauts 1 and some free wallpapers. Higher rewards include t-shirts and other memorabilia. Or, if you’re feeling generous, you can pledge $10,000 and get yourself a trip to Double Fine’s studio and have an active role in the development of the title. It’s interesting to note five of these packages have already been sold.

The game appears to be sticking with the formula of the original title in terms of graphics, writing and mechanics, but hopefully with some things switched up to make it worth our time. Even the Fig page is riddled with the Double Fine wit and humour we have come to know and love.
