Tim Schafer, owner of Double Fine Productions, dropped a bomb at the Video Game Awards: Psychonauts 2 is coming. Well, it should be coming. If we live in a just and caring world.

Psychonauts 2, a followup to Psychonauts which was launched in 2005, is being crowdfunded on FIG, so fans who want the project to happen should head on over here and throw as much money as they can at it. If this is anything like other high-profile sequels from series that have languished for over a decade (looking at you, Shenmue), it’ll hit its $3.3 million goal extremely quickly.

Moments after it was announced, the project had over 150 backers and it had raised over $10,000 dollars.

Backers can invest in the project for a share of potential profits or for traditional crowdfunding rewards.
