The developer of Dreamfall Chapters, Red Thread Games, is just about ready to reveal its psychological horror game, Draugen, which was announced over four years ago.

The game is “a first-person, single-player psychological Fjord Noir mystery set in 1920s Norway.”

Here’s a story synopsis from the title’s newly updated website:

It’s October. We’re on the threshold of winter. Edward Charles Harden has just arrived in the remote coastal community of Graavik after a long ocean journey from Boston, USA. Accompanied by his ward Alice, Edward is following the trail of his missing sister.

Over the next six days, trapped in this godforsaken corner of a foreign land, framed by deep fjords and tall mountains, Edward and Alice will search for the missing woman…and unravel a mystery going back decades.

Made in Norway, Draugen blends Norse mythology with gothic suspense and existential horror into a unique and haunting Fjord Noir experience.

The trailer for the game, which will be airing later this week, was already shown to attendees of AdventureX last week and people seemed quite fascinated by it.

Draugen is scheduled to arrive on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in 2019. If you missed the original reveal trailer from 2014, check it out at the bottom of the article.

We’ll make sure to have the trailer up here as soon as it becomes available, so don’t forget to follow OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.
