Gamers on the PlayStation Network may soon be able to change their usernames for the first time since the launch of the PSN in 2006.

According to Dualshockers, an industry insider known as “Tidux” said on NeoGAF:

“To those of you who do not like your PSN name, things are looking brighter #PS4”

The reason that Tidux’s post could actually have merit behind it is because he leaked details about the PS4 user-interface before it was publicly known, but it should still be taken with a grain of salt until anything official is announced by Sony.

For those who made silly or immature usernames some years ago, but don’t want to make a new account and lose all your trophies, this is for you. We’ll be sure to update if this feature really is incoming, so keep visiting OnlySP, and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
