Details are slim on the PS4 exclusive, Everybody’s Gone to Rapture, but according to The Chinese Room, the game is looking quite beautiful on CryEngine 3.

The Chinese Room is known for making some truly beautiful environmental art and it seems the trend will continue with Everybody’s Gone to Rapture. If you’ve played Dear Esther, you’ll know how much care and detail the developers put into their environments which is pretty exciting considering this is their first time working with CryEngine 3 and will be the first of their games to release on a console rather than a PC.

Late last month, the developer also responded to a question regarding their presence at E3. The Chinese Room rep running the Twitter account didn’t sound so sure if they would be there or not saying they, “Hope so, but don’t wait up for a game showing”. They also made sure to note that the game may or may not come out this year as an enthusiastic fan asked about a “promised” 2014 release date to which the account responded with, “It wasn’t ever promised in 2014.”

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the status of Everybody’s Gone to Rapture’s presence at E3 this year so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest on The Chinese Room’s latest project.
