According to its newsletterPraey for the Gods has been in closed beta for the last month, and the developer has provided a status update.

Praey for the Gods entered Closed Beta for those who backed the game on Kickstarter at Legion Edition tier or higher. The game will be rolling out a two part beta, which the developer is calling CB1 and CB2. The beta is to assist with feedback, with each part consisting of a subset of content. CB1 is currently in testing and CB2 will be out with new content before the year ends.

The release date for Praey for the Gods has also been delayed to 2019. Developer No Matter Studios explained that it did not believe that the game would be released on time and instead invested more time into adding more content and making sure the game is stable for release.

Initially titled Prey for the Gods, No Matter Studios was forced to change the title by Bethesda parent company Zenimax Media, due to last year’s science-fiction game series Prey.
