Developer Running With Scissors has announced a gameplay update for POSTAL 4: No Regerts three months after releasing on Early Access.
The studio announced that the satirical, open-world first-person shooter is set to receive a Police System which means players’ actions will face consequences. Therefore, actions that would have gone unpunished will now get players into trouble with the police.
In addition, the update will also include a wanted meter similar to the Grand Theft Auto series, and players will be arrested and sent to jail for antisocial behaviour. Running With Scissors also revealed that it intends to make the police system more intricate and expansive with future updates.
Furthermore, improvements to overall level design lighting will add more interesting aesthetics.
The studio announced several upgrades and fixes to weapons and gameplay, such as bystanders emitting smoke when tasered, and players being able to extinguish fires and pick up dropped grenades.
POSTAL 4: No Regerts content update is due to go live within the next two to three weeks and the game is currently available on PC via Steam.
