Maquette finds publisher in Annapurna Interactive

The publishing company Annapurna Interactive (Outer Wilds) has revealed a publishing deal with developer Graceful Decay for Maquette.

Maquette was first announced at the Game Developers Conference in 2011, where news outlets, such as Game Rant, likened the title to Portal. The game mixes intricate puzzles with an underlying love story, making the project an exceptionally charming addition to the genre.

Players will need to traverse a baronial estate complete with garden features, walkways, and even a castle. Various objects laying around can be placed in an identical miniature of the player’s surroundings located in the center. Once placed, the objects become ginormous real-world versions of themselves in order to unlock new areas.

No release date has been confirmed.
