Nintendo’s incredible addictive Pokemon has smashed another record as its officially become the fastest selling Nintendo 3DS title to date.

X&Y, the latest addition in the series which is exclusive to the 3DS handheld, has sold a staggering 12 million units since it launched last year and it’s still selling by the truck load as its been revealed that 400,000 versions of the game have been sold since January.

The Pokemon series have now sold over 245 million copies around the globe since the original Red & Blue games launched on the original Gameboy over a decade ago.

That’s not all though, the collectible cards that almost every person on Earth has seemingly became addicted to at some point have sold an unbelievable 20 billion packs and the cartoon has been broadcast in over 160 different countries.

You can thank Nintendo for all these fancy facts as it looks to promote the latest film ‘Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction’ which is coming out sometime this Summer.
