Astral Chain

A few days ago, a misquote led many to believe Platinum had plans to turn Astral Chain into a trilogy.

In a recent tweet, interviewee Takahisha Taura explained the mistranslation further.

“The article states that it is being made as the ‘first title of a trilogy’ but this is not true. I simply said that I’m thinking about different ways to expand further, be it a trilogy or more.”

Astral Chain isn’t being made as part of a trilogy, but the idea of it becoming one is being considered. When questioned by a fan about a chance of getting sequel Taura replied, “If we’re talking about possibilities, then I think the same goes for all games.”

Astral Chain is set to release for Nintendo Switch August 30, 2019.
