Today, April 25, 2017, Snapshot Games officially kicked off its Phoenix Point fundraising campaign.
With a goal of $500,000, Phoenix Point has roughly forty-three days to reach its monetary goal. The campaign ends on June 7, 2017. Ten different investment packages are available for those who wish to back the game, $10 to $1,500. Naturally, the more someone invests, the more rewards they get if the game meets its goal and gets developed and published.
Phoenix Point will draw much of its mechanical influence from the original XCOM series, which Julian Gollop—CEO of Snapshot Games—also designed. The game will feature turn-based, squad-based combat as well as the ability to upgrade soldiers over time. Phoenix Point will also include boss battles. Be sure to check out Damien Lawardorn’s article for more information on Phoenix Point.
Snapshot Games was founded in 2013 by Julian Gollop (CEO) and David Kaye (President). The company’s first title is Chaos Reborn (2014), a sequel to 1985’s Chaos.
