Persona 5 Royal

In Australia, a major retailer has moved up the release date for Persona 5 Royal.

On March 25, 2020, EB Games Australia has made Persona 5 Royal available for purchase both online and in store. Why the game is being pushed forward ahead of its western March 31 release date is unclear. Australia is the only region where this situation is happening, and other regions around the world are seemingly sticking with the original release date.

The early release may be to sell copies of the game before the COVID-19 situation in Australia exacerbates. GameStop in the United States sold Doom Eternal a day early ahead of its March 20 release date in order to spread out the crowd of customers who may have also wanted to buy Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the same day.

Persona 5 Royal was listed among OnlySP’s most anticipated game of 2020. George Yang wrote, “For those who did not play the vanilla back in 2017, Royal is the perfect way to experience this masterpiece.”
