Outward Patch Notes

Open-world RPG Outward has received a new update adding a new hardcore mode and endgame bosses.

Nine Dots Studios provided an update on Steam detailing the new content and bug fixes for the game.

The new hardcore mode includes a chance for permadeath. When players experience a defeat scenario, they may lose their characters permanently.

The new bosses are only available after players complete one of the Faction stories.

Additional changes to the game include the Enmerkar Forest receiving a foggy and cold season and clarification of the consequences for failing the Vendavel quest.

The developer stated that another patch is being worked on to update the game’s engine from Unity 5.6 to Unity 2018 in order to increase general performance, stuttering, and crashes players have reported experiencing.
