Red Barrels has revealed some new details about Outlast II in the past couple weeks that went unnoticed, including a hint about just how big the sequel is going to be.
The game was recently shown off for the first time at PAX East. If you missed the first gameplay video from the in-development sequel, you can check it out by following the link. Following PAX East, Red Barrels has been answering some fan questions about the game on their Twitter account.
According to Red Barrels, Outlast II will reportedly be “20-30%” longer than the original title, which lasted players around 4-5 hours on a normal playthrough, provided the player didn’t hide in lockers all through the night.
The sequel will also reportedly have a whole new cast of characters after one fan asked about a character from the previous game reappearing in the sequel named, Chris Walker. Walker was a secondary antagonist in the original Outlast. Outlast II is set in the same universe as the original game, but in a different setting.
Outlast II is scheduled for a Fall 2016 release on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned for further updates by following OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.
