Nintendo Switch Online

For players who have found Nintendo Switch Online’s selection of NES games to be a bit too challenging, things are going to get much easier next week.

Nintendo’s SNES Classic Edition shipped with a Rewind feature that allows players to “rewind a minute or more based on your game’s last suspend point.” This is a feature that recent remasters and game collections have included, too, such as Mega Man Legacy Collection.

Recently, Nintendo announced that this feature will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online and will be made available to all of its retro NES titles on the platform.

To activate Rewind, players will simply need to press and hold ZL + ZR. This will bring up a snapshot view of the recent moments before Rewind was activated, allowing players to select which point in time they wish to go back to and play from.

Rewind will hit Nintendo Switch Online on July 17. On that same day, Nintendo brings Donkey Kong 3 and Wrecking Crew to its Nintendo Switch Online service.
