Update: Latest deal for NieR: Automata is listed below. The new 5% off EASTER coupon is only good until next Tuesday at April 18.

On Friday, March 17 NieR: Automata will no longer be a PS4 exclusive, and instead will release on PC. The well received Japanese Action RPG does run the standard $59.99 on Steam, but keys are cheaper at GMG where an 18% 20% discount cuts about eleven bucks off the MSRP.

Achieving the full discount on NieR: Automata merely requires you to have an account at GMG. Technically this is part of their VIP program, which is as complicated as creating an account with Green Man Gaming. Otherwise visiting GMG without an account will display a lesser discount of $54, which will be reduced further by creating an account.

Buying from GMG also gets you the exclusive “Day One Edition”. For this, you’ll need to pre-order or buy on its March 17 release date. Included in the Day One Edition is a Machine Mask Accessory, Grimoire Weiss Pod, Retro Grey Pod skin, Retro Red pod skin, Cardboard Pod Skin, and more. Nothing crucial, but a few extra character customization options.

With the PS4 version doing well in the review department, it’s a good bet NieR: Automat will turn out to be a fine title on PC. Last week’s PS4 launch has it rating an 88/100 score on Metacritic and an even higher 9/10 user score rating. It’s possible Square Enix could mess up the frame rates, or poorly port the game to PC, but if they do as well as they do for Final Fantasy titles on Steam this should go smooth.
