A new website has come online within the last week that’s aimed at drawing awareness to the #BetterPSN campaign started by NeoGAF a few weeks ago.

Simplistic in nature, the website lists out a few of the many features users are requesting to be added to the PlayStation Network, as well as allows users to vote on what improvements they find the most important.

On the sidebar, there’s instructions on how to help the campaign, which includes certain accounts to mention and hashtags. You can check out the website right here for yourself.

The PSN could certainly use a program like the one Xbox Live currently has, which is rolling out new features and updates all the time. One thing I personally would like to see fixed in terms of the UI is the game’s library. There’s also the abysmal download speeds that need to be fixed, among many other things that could be updated.

What features would you like to see added to the PSN? Let us know in the comments section and be sure to help out the campaign by spreading awareness on social media if you’d like to see changes made. The campaign has already reached over 200,000 people, so it’s gaining traction pretty fast.

  1. one personal addition i’d like to see, is the ability to ‘ask for permission to view friend’s playing session.’ If i see a friend online playing something, sometimes i’d like to be able to watch him/her play without requesting them to stop their session, and start up a stream. Instead, a little notice would pop up in the corner “JOHNX would like to view your sessions, Accept or decline”…. OR you could even have a setting that would enable anyone to view your session without asking. Like a ‘always allow’ setting.

  2. I don’t know what planet you’re from but the PS4 already receives updates nearly every month. They added a media player last month and a ton of features a couple months before that. Features are added about every 3 months. PS4 feature updates are usually bigger. The reason why Microsoft has been releasing monthly updates is because they’re copying features from PSN. Most of the updates Microsoft releases are just adding things the PS4 had at launch.

All I see is double standard BS. When Sony releases a bigger update, most of the features get brushed aside by reporters. But when Microsoft releases an update that adds screenshots (which the PS4 had from the start) everyone acts like Xbox One is receiving amazing updates. The new Xbox UI that is coming up looks exactly like a vertical PS4 user interface. It looks like a total rip off of the PS4 UI. But somehow people are b*tching about a lack of PS4 updates and praising Xbox updates? That is complete double standard BS.

Some of the feature requests in the campaign I agree with but a lot of it is lies and exaggerations. From my experience and judging by how Microsoft is literally just copying PSN and the PS4 UI, PSN is the best console network by far this gen.

    1. I didn’t say it didn’t receive updates, but they’re not fundamental changes like the Xbox One has been receiving. There’s been improvements to the dashboard functionality, not just added features.

    2. No offense but it sounds like you dont own a PS4 or know a fucking thing about whats going on. If you took pride in the 450$ peice of equip[tment you purchased like i did I DONT wanna feel like i could spend less to get a better service.
