Dark Souls 2 is a great game. Everyone whose been playing it, reviewed it or watched it has enjoyed doing so, but it seems the graphical fidelity of the game took a big hit before the game was finally released.

A new video posted by Youtube user HyperBitHero shows just how much the game changed in a very well made video that shows a great comparison. Check it out below, and let us know what you think in the comments. It’ll be interesting to see how much of a difference there is between the console version of the game and the PC version, or if the PC version was affected by graphical downgrades as well. Either way, this is, yet again, another very well polished area of the game to show off to the press and fans when a game is revealed, only to be downgraded later and have fans disappointed.

  1. So, is the demo showed off on PC and the other on console? To be honest, the demo on the top left definitely looks better, especially in the lighting and effects categories, but the graphics on both of them didn’t look particularly good, not even on par, IMO with the end of last-gen console graphics. For me, it was mainly the abysmal texture resolution that makes it look last-gen, especially in that first scene.
