Vertigo Games recently released a new trailer for their upcoming VR zombie/survival game, Arizona Sunshine.

Set against the brightly-lit backdrop of a stylised Arizona, the game tasks players with surviving both zombie hordes and the blistering sun as they look for fellow survivors.

Designed from the ground-up for VR platforms, the game follows what seems to a developing trend to mitigate motion sickness in having most player movement controlled through a kind of teleportation. This system is married to a fully-realised and realistic control scheme for interacting with the environment and engaging in gunplay.

Arizona Sunshine‘s campaign is broken into a series of self-contained vignettes that add up to a complete story in order to facilitate player preferences. After all, many people have reported being unable to play VR games for an extended period. The campaign can also be played in co-op mode, which increases the number of zombies that infest the post-apocalyptic landscape.

Vertigo Games has been around for a few years now, with a grand total of twenty games to its credit, though many of them have been designed for corporate clients, rather than gamers. Perhaps its best known title to date is 2009’s Fairytale Fights, though Arizona Sunshine seems to be their most ambitious game so far.

Arizona Sunshine will be available on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive from December 6, 2016. You can find out more about the game on its official website.
