Square Enix has released some new teasers for its upcoming game Marvel’s Avengers.

The new footage, released on the game’s official YouTube channel and social media, reveals new outfits for Captain America and the Hulk.

The first custom outfit for Captain America, named ‘Secret Empire Captain America’, is inspired by his outfit from the comig book Secret Empire #0, released in April 2017.

A new teaser of the Hulk provides some information about the character, particularly in that he feels guilty over the events of A-Day, the game’s prologue.

The teaser also reveals a custom outfit for the Hulk, shown in a suit and hat. This outfit is presumably the character Grey Hulk, also known as Joe Fixit. Short clips of gameplay as the Hulk are shown at the end of the trailer, demonstrating his immense strength against his enemies.

First announced as The Avengers Project in January 2017Marvel’s Avengers was finally revealed at E3 in June 2019. Described as the “biggest thing we’ve ever done” by developer Crystal Dynamics, the game is viewed by the developer as a new type of live service experience expected to last multiple years, despite being fully playable in single-player. The game received a new 18-minute gameplay video last month, where some of the changes to the character models were revealed.

After seeing the game at E3 this year, OnlySP’s Michael Cripe felt that it “does not seem to pack the punch it so desperately needed for its debut,” despite having high hopes for the project before its reveal.

Marvel’s Avengers will be released for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 15, 2020.

Rhain discovered a long time ago that mixing one of his passions (video games) with the other (writing) might be a good idea, and now he’s been stuck in the industry for over six years with no means of escaping. His favourite games are those with deep and captivating narratives: while it would take far too long to list them all, some include L.A. Noire, Red Dead Redemption (and its sequel), Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Last of Us, and the Uncharted series.
