Silent Hill

In a surprise move by Konami, a new trademark has been filed simply titled Silent Hill.

Previously, a Silent Hills game was being worked on by Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro. Unfortunately, Kojima and Konami parted ways not long after the playable teaser for the project was released, and the project was seemingly cancelled.

A Canadian trademark filing may breathe new life into the franchise, though Konami has not issued an official statement. If the filing does indicate a new project, rather than simply protection of the IP, whether it refers to a revival of Kojima’s cancelled title or an entirely new game altogether is unclear.
