Koei Tecmo has released new information about Attack on Titan 2, the upcoming hack-n’-slash title based on the manga of the same name.

The publisher’s update included details on the character creation studio and intricate Town Life features, as well as confirmation of more playable characters to augment the game’s already extensive lineup.

The character creation studio allows players to customize their protagonist before delving into the story of Attack on Titan 2. A plethora of options exist for gamers to choose from, including different body shapes, hairstyles, facial features, clothing, and tones of voice. This comprehensive system is intended to provide the necessary tools for users to enjoy a unique gameplay experience.

In addition to the character creation studio, players will be able to enjoy periods of tranquility with the enhanced Town Life feature. A wide selection of amenities are scattered across the character’s camp, including a Titan Research Room—where players can view Titans they have captured in battle—and Training Facilities—where gamers may increase their character’s statistics by fighting imprisoned foes. Should users require resources to develop and enhance weaponry, they may visit the Regiment Store, where crafting materials and high grade equipment is sold.  Lastly, gamers can go to the Regiment Administration office and acquire Scout Missions that provide an avenue for gaining experience, regiment funds, and rare materials they would not come across in main missions.

Should players choose to head out with their favorite character accompanying them, their relationship with that character will deepen, providing an edge in defeating their foes. Koei Tecmo has introduced five new characters—Sasha Braus, Jean Kirschtein, Marco Bodt, Daz, and Conny Springer—to join players.

Attack on Titan 2 is scheduled for release on March 20, 2018, and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
