About a week ago I wrote about how the indie title FRACT OSC received funding from Indie Fund. In there I spoke about my love of indie titles that have fantastic minimalistic style to them and that make me question possibly where I am or who or even if it’s real (i.e. Am I supposed to be alive in this make believe world or not).
What’s great and has made me run around the room in excitement like a 5 year old on sugar is that a new game is coming out and it seems to be a brilliant one too. It’s described as “a philosophical trip and an artistic experience… the main idea behind the game is to make the player appreciate the loneliness, the feeling to be lost in a gigantic unknown universe… a world which seems to be alive”. The description does remind me of Kairo in the fact that Kairo too had a huge universe that you couldn’t explore but you could marvel at and that did make you feel so very small and that makes you begin to question what and why.
For those that share my love of this types of indie titles, NaissanceE is on Steam Greenlight and has a plan to release in the fall of 2013. If you need more convincing that this looks to be a beautiful game here is the latest released piece of gameplay footage:
