A new quirky sci-fi hack-and-slash called “Furi” was announced this week along with a slick new trailer. You can check it out below.

Furi was announced for PC and PS4 and according to the Game Bakers, it will focus heavily on one-on-one fights with the game’s “guardians” in order to escape a “surreal prison and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate.” The game seems to carry shades of Afro Samurai, which makes sense because the series’ creator, Takashi Okazaki, was heavily involved in the development of Furi, designing all of its formidable boss characters, each of which will boast “unique and surprising combat style(s) that require focus and skill to defeat.”

The game is set to be released sometime in 2016. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and follow the development team at their website or on Twitter and Facebook.
