Following the recent news of its delay, the new IO Interactive developed Hitman game has been announced for a March 11, 2016 release date by Square Enix.

When the game releases on March 11th, it will include three locations: Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh. In total, those locations will include six different campaign missions, replayable through “Contracts missions” created by the users.

For Contracts mode, you’ve got a combined pool of around 800 targets to craft your devious Contracts from, which means we’re expecting fantastic things, IO said.

New content will start being distributed in March as well, in the form of “time-limited targets, weekly IO developed Contracts, and promoted content built by the very best of you out there.”

Following that will be one new location added on a monthly basis, in April, May and June 2016.

Of course [each location will have] new disguises, weapons ,and ways of taking out your target. April takes you to Thailand, May will see you visiting the United States of America, and June sends you across the globe to Japan.

Along with the digital version of the game which will get the future additions for free and the physical release which will be released at a later date, a release called the “Intro Pack” will launch for $34.99, giving purchasers the March 2016 content only. This version of the game will be available for upgrade for $29.99.

Hitman DataHitman is set for a digital release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2016.
