Rockstar today released a new batch of images from its newest entry into the Grand Theft Auto series. The new set of screenshots entitled “Sunsets, Seas, Skies and So On…” continues to impress.

The images are incredibly detailed. So detailed in fact, that many are questioning whether the stills are from a version set to release on current-generation hardware. Rockstar quickly put these questions to rest…

Rockstar confirms through its website’s comment thread that the screenshots are indeed from the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 versions. The only versions confirmed to exist. 

The screenshots also appear to confirm some cool and interesting things. Scuba diving, a Gatling gun and sky diving all make an appearance. And a beautiful shot of a police helicopter making use of a spotlight during a car chase was included as well. Take a look at our new image gallery below.
