The Gears of War 4 beta has been going on for about a week now and the open beta for the game finally launched just yesterday.

However, the game has not escaped the controversy surrounding its graphics, as gamers seem to be unaware that while this is technically a “beta”, it’s based on pre-alpha code and not representative of the final quality of the game. The Coalition is trying to get gamers to understand that this is a real beta, and not a pre-release demo like many betas tend to be.

Anyways, The Coalition have released some new screenshots from Gears of War 4 which were previously featured in the Gameinformer cover story. You can check out the new images in the gallery below. Be sure to let us know what you think of them in the comments section and stay tuned for further updates on Gears of War 4’s campaign as we have them.

Gears of War 4 releases exclusively for the Xbox One on October 17.
