Rumour had it that Borderlands 2 would be receiving an all-new story DLC years after its release to bridge the gap between the third game.

Now, as part of Microsoft’s E3 2019 show, fans finally have a name for the DLC, Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary. The story will no doubt explain to gamers why the characters from the previous game have had to evacuate the beloved home base of Sanctuary. One key detail is that Lilith narrates over the trailer and introduces herself as a “former Siren” and thus confirming Lilith will, in fact, lose her powers during Borderlands 3 or perhaps in the new DLC.

While more Borderlands content is always a good thing, some fans may be saddened to hear that the DLC will only be available to those who have purchased the Handsome Jack Collection, however, the DLC will be free.
