We still don’t have a release date for the massive expansion coming to The Witcher 3 in a few months time, but we do have some beautiful new screenshots to share with you, courtesy of CD Projekt RED.

The Witcher 3’s open world was already pretty colorful, but the Blood and Wine expansion map seems to be taking it to a whole new level. The screenshots below show new characters, fauna, monster and plenty more. Check them out in the gallery just below.

The new storyline that will be included with Blood and Wine is totally separate from the main plotline and is quite a bit more complex than what we saw from the base game. A new soundtrack is also being created for the expansion, which is pretty exciting considering just how good the base game’s soundtrack was.

Blood and Wine is a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, and will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.

A recent rumor had the Blood and Wine expansion launching in June, but that has yet to be confirmed by CD Projekt RED. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if we hear anything more, so stay tuned to OnlySP on Facebook and Twitter.

The Blood and Wine expansion is coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime this year.
