The Norse mythology-inspired action extravaganza Neverinth will arrive in Steam Early Access on April 30.

In the game, players take the role of warrior women drawn from across history to battle against the monsters left behind in the wake of Ragnarok. The women have been summoned by Yggdrasill, the embodiment of the Tree of Life to avenge the fallen gods and ultimately ascend to become Valkyrie.

As the game progresses, players will learn about both the world and the histories of the women while battling through “the everchanging halls of the Neverinth.”

The development team, CreAct Games, predicts the project to remain in Early Access for at least a year, during which the roster will expand from two to five playable characters and more levels beyond the starting two will be added.

To celebrate the imminent release, publisher AnotherIndie released a new trailer (embedded below) focusing on story details, while also showing off some of the rapid action and imaginative beasts set to be appear in the game.
