Netflix has announced that it will host a special panel at E3 Coliseum 2019 called, “Bringing Your Favorite Shows to Life: Developing Netflix Originals into Video Games.”
Netflix also confirmed on Twitter that additional information about Stranger Things 3: The Game will be revealed, along with some other game announcements.
According to the official E3 website, E3 Coliseum “brings video game fans closer to their favorite games and creators. Held during all three days of E3, the E3 Coliseum celebrates the world’s most powerful form of entertainment with panels, conversations and other special events and is produced by Geoff Keighley (The Game Awards).”
Other tech companies have announced their foray into the games industry earlier this year, including Google with its own video game platform, Stadia, and Apple with Apple Arcade, a subscription service for its iOS games. If Stranger Things 3: The Game is any indication, Netflix will most likely take the traditional route and license out its properties to other studios to make games on multiple platforms.
Stranger Things 3: The Game will launch on July 4, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
