Mutant Year Zero

Last year’s “instant strategy classic” Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is getting a major free update in the coming days.

Titled the ‘Stalker Trials’, the update centres on a new challenge mode that changes enemy placement to increase difficulty. A grace for players is that they will have instant access to all characters and upgrades.

Players will be scored based on their success, and additional points are granted based on certain conditions. Those scores will then show up on an in-game leaderboard.

The February 26 launch date for the update is only applicable for the PC version. Console owners will have to wait until later in the year.

In addition to the ‘Stalker Trials,’ the update will fix a number of bugs and issues found in the base game since launch.

Developer The Bearded Ladies has also hinted that more updates will be coming to Mutant Year Zero, but has not yet revealed any information about what form they might take.
